Stack both screens with the controls below. The portrait layout reserves camera and notch padding.

02 / PHONE LANDSCAPE

Play and interact side by side

The game sits beside the companion, with D-pad on the left and A/B on the right. Swap exchanges the screen positions.

03 / TABLET & FOLD

A balanced screen stack

Expanded windows stack two equally wide screens in either orientation, preserving the game and companion aspect ratios.

GBA controls, with quick actions

  • D-pad, A/B, L/R, Select and Start.
  • Menu opens the emulator Quick Menu.
  • Quick Save and Load use slot 0.
  • >> toggles fast-forward; Swap exchanges the screens.
  • Persistent light/dark shell with Thor Rainbow accents.

Use the same companions

Import an existing companion ZIP or create one for a supported ROM inside the emulator. The browser GBA Duo Companion Builder also works with Plus SS.

Plus and Plus SS install side by side. Each app has its own private saves, companion packs and settings.

Get started with Plus SS

  1. Install the SS APK

    Download the Single Screen edition above. Android may ask you to allow installation from your browser.

  2. Add your game folder

    Open Settings, add your ROM folder and select a game. GBA, GB and GBC are supported by the emulator.

  3. Create or import a companion

    Open Companion pack → Get from the web to download a pack or create one for an exact supported ROM. You can also import a ZIP generated by the Companion Builder.

Large ZIP files can take time to open. Loading feedback and Menu cancellation are available. See device validation and current limits.

Using a dual-screen handheld?

The regular GBA Duo Plus edition puts its companion on a second Android display.
